2-Channel Relay Module with Optocoupler

This is a 5V, 10A 2-Channel Relay interface board. It can be used to control various appliances and other equipment with a large current. It can be controlled directly with 3.3V or 5V logic signals from a microcontroller (Arduino, 8051, AVR, PIC, DSP, ARM, ARM, MSP430, TTL logic).

Key Features:

  • It is a relay interface board.
  • It can be controlled directly by a wide range of microcontrollers such as Arduino, AVR, PIC, ARM, and so on.
  • It uses a low-level triggered control signal (3.3-5VDC) to control the relay.
  • Triggering the relay operates the normally open or normally closed contacts.

Applications:

  • Home automation
  • Robotics Control
  • Control doors and windows via the windows system

Also check SLA-05VDC-SL-A 4Pin 30A Power Relay available on Robocraze. It operates at a supply voltage of 5V and has a load capacity of 30A at 250VAC or 30VDC. The relay is suitable for driving 30A devices and can be controlled by a small signal from a microcontroller like Arduino.

1. What is a 2-channel 5V relay?

  • 2-Channel 5V Relay Module is a relay interface board, it can be controlled directly by a wide range of microcontrollers such as Arduino, AVR, PIC, ARM, and so on. It uses a low-level triggered control signal (3.3-5VDC) to control the relay. Triggering the relay operates the normally open or normally closed contacts.

2. How does a 2-channel relay work?

  • The relay has two outputs-normally open and normally closed (NO and NC). When the IN1 or IN2 pin is connected to the ground, NO will be open and NC will be closed, and when IN1 or IN2 is not connected to the ground the opposite occurs.

3. How do I connect a 2-channel relay?

  • Start by connecting the VCC pin of the relay to 5V on the Arduino and the GND pin of the relay to the GND of the Arduino. Connect the digital pin 6 to the IN1, and IN2 input pin for controlling the first and second relay. You'll also need to place the relay module in line with the AC-powered device (lamp in our case) you're attempting to control
