2. How to assemble the Metal Aluminum Case with Double Fans to Raspberry Pi 4?

  • Installing a heatsink should be quick and easy. First and foremost, make sure your Raspberry Pi 4 is powered off and unplugged.
    Next, get a  thermal pad, peel off the protective cover, and attach it to the  Raspberry Pi's CPU. A thermal pad can be placed on the DDR4 RAM chip if desired but is not required. Finally,  the top half of the case needs to be oriented correctly while the bottom half is under the Pi. Grab a hex screw and your trusty hex wrench to secure your new Pi heatsink case in place. After assembly, if you can see a  gap between the CPU and heatsink, take it apart and use a spare thermal pad.  Connect the fan cables as shown below (the direction of the red and black direction determines the direction of the fan airflow, you can also reverse it).
