The ESP 01 ESP8266 Serial WIFI Wireless Transceiver Module is a self-contained SOC with an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that can give any microcontroller access to your WiFi network. The ESP8266 is capable of either hosting an application or offloading all Wi-Fi networking functions from another application processor.
The ESP 8266 has powerful onboard processing and storage capabilities that allow it to be integrated with the sensors and other application-specific devices through its GPIOs with minimal development up-front and minimal loading during runtime. Its high degree of on-chip integration allows for minimal external circuitry, and the entire solution, including the front-end module, is designed to occupy minimal PCB area.
When getting to know and use this device, the best approach is to use a USB to 3.3V TTL converter and a 3.3v power supply. Avoid working with any devices that require or output 5V levels.

Very cheap module to be used standalone or with the Arduino or rpi.
Bought these for my 3d printer. Yet to try. Best thing about it is the connections compatible to bread board or so if u dont need the nodemcu level pinouts.
I haven't had a chance to use this yet but it appears to be bootable. Looking forward to pairing it with the Maker Pi Pico prototyping board.

Hello, yes, both can be used together using UART but esp8266 operates at 3.3v and Arduino operates at 5v. Connect the ESP-01 to the Arduino Uno using jumper wires: TX to Arduino pin 2 (RX) RX to Arduino pin 3 (TX) GND to Arduino GND VCC to Arduino 3.3V (since ESP-01 operates at 3.3V) Connect the servo motor to the Ard: Black wire (GND) of servo motor to Arduino GND Red wire (VCC) of servo motor to Arduino 5V Yellow wire (control signal) of servo motor to Arduino pin 8 or any other pins
